I’m Susie and I live in the High Peak in Derbyshire where it rains 95% of the time.

I’m 52 and I’ve been writing for a couple of years. I’m interested in exploring points of emotional fracture, liminal places, and worlds that coexist with ours. I’m inspired by landscape and craft, and fascinated by people and dialogue. I also find everything funny and I love to transmute tragedy into something lighter.

I’ve got a degree and an MPhil in English, and my career has been mostly in voluntary sector management. Voluntary sector management is the best possible preparation for writing.
